During the late 1990’s I worked as a Registered Nurse at a major hospital in Brooklyn, New York. I worked in what was known then as the HIV/AID’s units or wards. I never allowed the darkness or depression of the units to get a hold of me because I needed to provide the care needed by the patients regardless of the amount of people dying or being ravaged around me, by this deadly debilitating disease. I did what I had to do with some cheerfulness in my spirit, not seeing how the dying patients were affecting me.The majority of my patients were young African American males and some females. Many were just starting their life on their own, many had careers, and dreams and inspirations of a better world. Now they found themselves being conquered by a deadly virus that was threatening and in many cases end their lives. I spoke with many of these young people as I watched and did what I could do to stop the advancement of the virus. I listened to their stories of how they became infected, and their anger, humiliation, and disappointment, knowing the inevitable was coming. Many of their stories were heart wrenching, and it was not unusual to leave work one day, and return the next to find that someone who I engaged in conversation the previous day, had pass away. I learned a lot then about life and death and I wrote my first self published novel, which I titled Herphilisneurolysis (HER-PHILIS-NEURO-LYSIS).

Herphilisneurolysis is a story of a fictional disease. Its is sexually transmitted and terminal. The book was .published in 2008 by Trafford Publishing. It was a book whose plot was too packed and so later I decided to unpack it into three books. Pathogen of the Purge is the prequel and the original Herphilisneurolysis will no longer be offered. . Pathogen of the Purge is now the first book of the series, the foundational story, telling of where the disease originated. What are its signs and symptoms. What it does to the infected individual during its four stages, and how it was developed into a biological weapon. This story is set in Russia before, during, and after, World War Two.
